How Orvexa sets its prices: our method, in the open
Orvexa's Growth Pro price is the average of comparable platforms' entry plans minus 20%. See the inputs, the maths for India and why we publish them.

- Growth Pro costs 20% less than the average entry plan of comparable platforms in your country
- Starter is 40% of Growth Pro and yearly billing takes 10% off
- We publish the inputs and the date we read them so you can check our work
Most software prices are set behind closed doors. We would rather show you how ours are built, so you can decide whether they are fair.
The rule
- Take the entry-plan price (billed monthly, in your currency) of comparable platforms in your country.
- Average them.
- Subtract 20%. That is Growth Pro.
- Starter is 40% of Growth Pro.
- Paying yearly takes a further 10% off.
India adds 18% GST. Elsewhere we do not add tax, and local taxes may apply.
The inputs for India (read on 7 October 2026)
| Platform | Entry plan, billed monthly |
|---|---|
| Shopify Basic | ₹1,994 |
| Zoho Commerce Standard | ₹999 |
| Dukaan Starter | ₹299 |
| StoreHippo Business | ₹15,000 |
| Average | ₹4,573 |
| Average minus 20% = Orvexa Growth Pro | ₹3,660 |
Starter works out to ₹1,460. Paying yearly brings Growth Pro to ₹3,294 a month.
What we leave out, and why
We leave out ShopDeck because it publishes no price, WooCommerce because the software is free and hosting varies, and Wix because it shows only promotional yearly prices. In some countries only a few platforms publish a comparable price, so the average rests on fewer inputs. We say so on the pricing page.
What the average hides
A single average can be skewed by an outlier. StoreHippo's Business plan is aimed at larger brands and lifts the India average a lot. We include it because the rule is "comparable platforms we are compared against", and we show it in the table. If you think it does not belong, you are free to calculate your own average from the list above. The subscription is also only part of the cost, because several of these platforms charge a percentage of sales on top. See the real cost of a platform.
Why not simply be the cheapest?
Because the cheapest price on paper is rarely the cheapest in practice, and because we think a clear rule is more trustworthy than a discount that changes every month. Our price pays for a dedicated database for your store, 1-tap UPI, OTP-verified COD, WhatsApp updates and no fee on your sales.
Different prices in different countries
The rule uses each country's own competitor prices, so the number differs by market and is shown in local currency. In emerging markets we use Shopify's own lower emerging-market price in the average.
What to do next
Open the pricing section, change the country, and open "How we set our prices". Check our inputs against the vendors' pages, and tell us if you find a number that has changed.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Growth Pro in India above Shopify Basic?
Because the average includes higher-priced plans, and because Shopify Basic also charges a percentage fee on online sales. Compare total cost, not only the subscription.
Will the prices change?
Competitor prices change, so ours will be reviewed regularly. Existing customers are told before any change to their plan.
Is the yearly discount on top of the 20%?
Yes. First we apply the rule to get the monthly price, then yearly billing takes a further 10% off that monthly price, so the yearly saving is separate from the 20% below average.
